Who among us doesn't use the web? The web is a very wide world as it is the world wide web (www). The web or the modern internet started around the 1950s and the 1960s with the development of computers. When it begun it was very simply based on point to point telecommunication and now it is considered as one of the most advanced technologies in the world. When the web started it started with the concept of web 1.0 which was created in 1993 after the internet was released to the public.

Web 1.0 is mainly the personal web sites. It was in the past as people were not able to create some cool websites where people can create interactive websites that allow people to sign up and share their things with the others. In 2004, web 2.0 has been introduced and it is mainly the type of the web that contains the current websites

Web 2.0 is the type of web that contain the social networks like Facebook and Twitter and Myspace and many more networks; it also contains the blogs, dynamic websites and all the websites that allow people to sign up and interact with each other. The web is fast developing. The speed allows us to predict the future of the web.

One day I was sitting in front of my laptop and opening YouTube. I thought about looking for something about Google and I typed Google. And I got a lot of search results, I went through them and I came to the one that says "Google's View On The Internet's Future", I got very interested in this video and I decided to watch it. The amazing thing is that the one who was talking was Google's VP & Chief Internet Evangelist; he was talking about people being in control of what they want and how things are viewed for them and how the network should understand what we need. And then I thought about Microsoft and I check it and there was a video with the title "Microsoft's Vision of the Future (Parody)", it was a very interesting short video and they were saying things that are similar to what Google was saying. Then I came to the point that the world of the internet will be very different in the future. I typed on Google the future web and I got a result with Web 3.0. I didn't open the link but I just researched on Google about web 3.0 as I just knew that it is the keyword that I am looking for and you can't imagine how amazed I was.

Web 3.0 is supposed to be the next generation of the web technology. It is based on what is called semantics. Semantics is the study of meaning. It focuses on the relation between signifiers, such as words, phrases, signs and symbols, and what they stand for, their denotata. The Semantic Web is a "web of data" that enables machines to understand the semantics, or meaning, of information on the World Wide Web. It extends the network of hyperlinked human-readable web pages by inserting machine-readable metadata
