Tokiolo

Tokiolo is 30 years old. He lives with his parent, currently at the College. He was involved in a car accident at the age 6. This made his life miserable. He was unable to walk by himself. He is a middle child of 7 children. He had a good relationship with his sisters. Tokiolo was the only boy in the family. Moreover, his family has provided him with an effective support. Due to poverty, his family used a wheelbarrow to take him to school, because they had no money to buy a wheelchair. Tokiolo was a bright boy; he likes Biology, Maths and Physical science. His teachers loved him and they supported him with his school work. He had friends at school and at home. Even though some learners labelled him as a "disabled learner in a wheelbarrow", he had good resources to overcome the risk factors.

Furthermore, Tokiolo was sponsored a wheelchair by the good Samaritans. This made him to gain more confident. He was successful with his academic. Due to his physical impairment, he couldn't achieve his goal of becoming a Soldier. After his grade 12 he stayed home for three years. He then got a scholarship to go study further. He was happy and he used the opportunity. While at the College, his father died. Tokiolo was very sad.......because he had a plan to buy a very nice car for his father. Eventually, Tokiolo completed his studies and became a bread winner for his family: mother and sisters.
