One goal we have for the Adolescent Afterschool Program is to improve students' GPA by providing a helpful learning environment with one-on-one tutoring sessions. By developing a strategically organized program where the students benefit from the educational tools provided by the Adolescent Afterschool Program, funded by the federal government. The Adolescent Afterschool Program can aid the students in the subject they are failing in by providing educational support. One-on-one tutoring can be helpful by implementing curriculum that will be similar to what they learn at school, but with a more in depth approach. They will have more flexibility with learning not only inside the classrooms, but on field trips as well. Attending an informal learning environment will help them be more active in participation. Imperial High School will report to our Adolescent Afterschool Program with a list of each student who is academically at risk. The program will start assisting with the school subject the student is having most trouble in. Every month there will be a progress report that shows how the student is doing in the subject which he or she is being tutored in. These programs can help by reducing truancy in school and in return the students may increase their grades in the subjects they are failing and increase test scores. It will also be important to maintain a good relationship with Imperial High School as they will be helping to provide the support for our program with supplies; such as materials, student records, and teachers as helpful guides to the tutors. These adolescents will be benefitting from this program academically, but in addition the socialization they get in the program may play a part in them academically.

Our program will propose intangibles such as the chance to connect in actions that assist teenagers to comprehend they have something to provide to the group; the chance to work with various peers and adults to produce projects, performances, and presentations that talk about the effects of drugs and crimes. We'll also provide surveys for them to do about the awareness they have about crimes. Take into consideration ideas from their families and the larger community and the chance to make an idea of life's possibilities that with commitment and persistence are attainable. If at least 50 percent of the teenagers are participating in after-school programs, the area will be five times more likely to be a healthy district within a year.

With the Adolescent Afterschool Program we try to reduce juvenile crime specifically from 14 to 18 years old. Such a program has the job to promote the healthy habits in teenagers with the participation of the one-on- one tutoring sessions.
