Design process is the most important process when we are about to make project. It is the first thing that we need to do when making our project. Design process can be steps or process for making a project. In my team, after we read the project handout usually we are discussing what and how we want the project to be. In our team it is required to give at least one opinion or idea for the project. All of our members did well with giving opinions, each member required to give one idea but in my team each member contributes at least three ideas. After we collect ideas, we start to build the project. This is the hardest step; everyone gives lots of ideas so we don't know where to start. When this happened, we vote which one is the best to put in first, second, third and so on. There are many engineering technique that I learnt from this class. One of them is drawing the finished product, in engineering drawing we must have every detail for the project, such as, measurement, exact drawing and dimension.

My experience being on a team is quite unique. There is always an argument and that is what makes the difference between working alone and with a team. The good thing is argument can create a new idea or can make our project to be better. During our first project, which was the spaghetti tower, we argued a lot on how we were going to design a solid tower in short amount of time, and then we didn't realize that our argument create an idea. We didn't realize we collect each of our argument to make the strongest tower in our class. That is one of my biggest experiences on working as a team. I will never get this kind of experience if I work alone.

There is one skill that I developed during this class. It's the design table. Design table lets me to choose which design is perfect. By making at least three different designs we pick which one is the best. This helps our argument. Whenever we have an argument or different opinion on certain aspect, we let each of our members to make one design and then we collect the design and vote which one is the best. And that is because of the design table.

When I finished this class, my view about engineering is wider. I always think engineering is about math or physics, but in real life to solve those math and physics problem we need a team. Also I have learned that the field of engineering is really big and that mean I need to team to explore the world of engineering. I also never think that I need a good communication for engineering, because I think math and physics is everything, but it is different, we need a good communication in engineering so our opinions and ideas can be heard. Just imagine if a CEO from engineering cannot communicate his idea. He will not be able to do his idea.
