Preparation required for TOT
All the preparations should be completed before starting the training of trainers, such as:
Selection of Trainers
o Select the trainers who can spare the time for conducting training and have ability to explain the subject.
o In case of training quality is not found up to the mark based on feed back of the last sessions some other trainer should be selected.
o The officer who are very busy, should not be selected as trainer.
o List of the trainers and scheduled date of T.O.T. should be issued .
o It may be ensured with the help of Head that trainers must be available as per training schedule.
Selection and arrangement of site
* The right place for T.O.T. should be selected based on the number of participants where T.O.T. may be conducted smoothly and no interruption may occur, as far as possible T.O.T. should be conducted outside the office .
* There should be arrangement of refreshment for participants in T.O.T.
Material required for T.O.T.
It should be ensured that all the following material should be available one day before the scheduled date of T.O.T. : -
* One copy of all the formats
* Training issues identified in the previous training.
The trainers in T.O.T should be provided the training schedule
The following topics shall be discussed in T.O.T.
1. Arrangements at Training site
o The trainers should ensure arrangement for sitting of vaccinators at the training site with the help Medical Officer. The site should be neat & clean and considerable spacious. Drinking water should be arranged for trainers.
o As far as possible all the trainers should be seated in the form of U or C while training. It should also be kept in mind that the new trainers or whose feed back of the previous rounds was not good may be seated in front row.
o All the supervisors should sit with their team.
o The trainers should be requested to train maximum 40-50 trainers in the session.
o In case the transit trainers are to be trained, separate session should be conducted for them.
